Let's Sew a Scissor Storage Pouch on the Janome Continental M7 Sewing Machine

Updated: Apr 19, 2023

The Scissor Storage Pouch is my newest pattern. This handy little pouch is approximately 10.25" Long by 5.25" High and will hold multiple pairs of scissors as well as other sewing tools. Take it along to keep your sewing necessities nicely organized. The pouch can be made with an optional swivel hook and the lining has been drafted so that it will fit nicely inside the pouch. The pouch is best suited for100% cotton quilting fabric and you will also need fusible woven interfacing and fusible fleece. This is a great little project to use up all your scraps or serves as a quick sewing project for selling at craft shows. I sewed the pouch on my Janome Continental M7 Professional sewing machine and I do give instruction on how to use the pivot function offered on the machine. I have prepared a companion step-by-step YouTube tutorial that will give you all the instruction needed for the construction of the pouch.

If you would like to sew along with me, I do have a pattern available for purchase. Included with the PDF pattern is a downloadable SVG file for cutting out your pieces on the Cricut Maker. The SVG file has only been tested on the Cricut Maker. I have not tested the SVG file on any other electronic die cutting machines. The YouTube Tutorial serves as the instructions for the construction of the pouch as there are no written instructions within the PDF pattern. You must have access to YouTube in order to view the instructions for constructing the pouch. The PDF pattern contains some general information, fabric requirements and pattern pieces.

If you would like to purchase the pattern, click on the image below which will take you to my Etsy shop where you will find the pattern.

Happy Sewing!
